Mission Trip to NYC
Week of July 6th
Here is the info as I have it! Feel free to contact me with any questions, and of course I will post more information as I get it!
The price of the trip as of today is $250 per person. This price is dependant upon meeting our expected goals with fundraising. There is a great possibililty that the price will be lowered if we exceed our fundraising goals. A $50 deposit is due by the end of this month.
We will be taking 30 people total with us to NYC by Charter Bus. We will be dropped off in Manhatten with our stuff at St. Paul's and St. Andrews United Methodist Church. We will be staying here for the week with another UM group of about 15 from Binghamton NY. Their group and our own will be doing our mission work through Youth Service Opportunities Project (YSOP), which is just a short subway trip from our church. We will be working on Monday through Thursday in different soup kitchens, clothing drives, homeless shelters, etc. all throughout NY. Of course, expect us to take in some sights and experiece some of what the city has to offer. This will be the trip of a lifetime, especially at this cost!
